At Doyle Physiotherapy, our concussion rehab program is designed to provide a structured, individualized, and system-specific approach to recovery.
We utilize both diagnostic technology and a detailed bedside assessment to identify what specific systems and areas of the brain are primarily impacted, thereby allowing for more specific and targeted treatment interventions and more efficient recovery pathways both during and between sessions.

Booking Structure:
Three appointments booked initially:
One Initial Concussion Assessment and One Multi-Systems Assessment (ideally within the same week, with at least one rest day between)
One 60-minute follow-up session to review assessment findings and outline your proposed rehabilitation plan. Treatment may begin during this session if time allows.
Treatment Plan:
Two sessions per week for three months (60 minutes per session), followed by re-eval.

Please schedule your Initial Concussion Assessment & Multi-Systems Assessment within the same week (e.g., Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday), leaving at least one day between sessions to allow the nervous system time to recover.

Treatment Plan:
Begin with two sessions per week for 6–8 weeks, followed by a re-evaluation.
Most clients experience significant improvement within this timeframe (the earlier you seek care after your concussion, the better – ideally within the first week)
If symptoms persist, we reassess, refine the focus, and adapt the treatment plan as needed.
Why pre-booking matters:
Scheduling your treatment block in advance ensures consistency, structure, and accountability. It allows for a steady and consistent flow of treatment and enables your clinician to devote more time to individualized progression and long-term planning.
